Litigation solicitors negligence failing to enforce judgment

Our client’s former litigation solicitors successfully obtained judgment against a company but failed to enforce it. By the time the solicitors tried to enforce the judgment two years later, the company had become insolvent. Under a ‘no win, no fee’ agreement Bell Lax were able to prove to the solicitor’s insurers that the delay in taking action meant the judgment was not paid so they agreed to pay the £15,000 debt and the legal costs of Bell Lax’s client.
