Conveyancing solicitors negligence - failure to identify mine shaft

Our clients approached us because a survey revealed there was mine shaft under their house. This was a surprise to them because they had paid their conveyancing solicitor for a coal mining search when they bought the property and he hadn’t said that there was a problem.
